Communication
• Drive communications strategy to ensure successful brand and product positioning
• Write and edit Company’s Investments collateral, articles, correspondence and invitations, among others
• Ensure all material, including the Company’s Investments website, remains relevant and updated
• Drive the alignment of messaging across the business, as well as alignment to the Company’s Investments’ communication style
• Overall management, development and growth of the Company’s Investments newsletters and other regular communication
• Co-ordinate timeous delivery of articles from spokespeople and other contributors for all communications
• Keep abreast of competitors’ communication activities and identify key learning for the Company’s Investments
• Liaise with the Company’s Group Marketing to ensure that the Company’s Investments has a share of voice with its target markets across all communication channels
• Ensure the Company’s Investments communications calendar is always updated
• Ensure sign off of materials by key stakeholders within the business
• Report back on Communication and PR deliverables on a monthly basis

Public relations
• Create and drive the PR strategy to ensure that the Company’s Investments is highly present in the correct media platforms and positioned as thought leaders
• Ensure the company’s Investments meets its PRAVE targets and that the relevant people are profiled
• Manage the relationship with the PR agency
• Identify newsworthy and relevant topic ideas and liaise with potential Contributors
• Write and edit articles for media
• Ensure the Company’s Investments is adequately represented in the Company’s Group Professional
• Confidence Index media releases

Social media (SoMe)
• Develop and drive implementation of SoMe strategies for the Company’s Investments across all platforms
• Grow followers and engagements for the Company’s Investments SoMe initiatives
• Manage the relationship with the within the Company’s Group SoMe team, attending monthly SoMe forum meetings

Experience
• At least 3 to 5 years proven experience as a communication specialist with ideally in a financial services company
• At least 3 years’ experience as a communications manager
• Product knowledge is not fundamental but an understanding of the financial services industry as a whole is crucial
• Experience within a multi-manager will be advantageous

Qualifications
• Relevant bachelor’s degree
• Alternatively, a tertiary qualification in journalism or public relations will be an advantage
