A PR firm comprising of a team of experienced and passionate writers, editors and strategy heads seeks a Communications Officer to join their team in Randburg,

Primary responsibilities for the position are Social Media management as well as writing and developing content strategies for Corporate clients in English. If you are passionate about writing and understand impact messaging, then this is what you are meant to be doing.

The initial contract will be for 6 months, subject for review in November 2016, with the possibility of transitioning into a full time position.

Education Level:

- Degree / Diploma in Journalism and Media Studies or English.
- A qualification or course in Social Media Management would be an added advantage.

Main duties include:

- Content strategy
- Conducting high-level interviews with Executives to develop content
- Research for content background
- Social Media Management
- Managing LIVE Twitter events
- Generating content for social media
- Sub-editing and editing capability (optional)

Required Skills and Work Experience:

- A passion for writing
- A passion for Social Media
- Understanding of digital Marketing Campaigns
- An excellent command of the English language and must be able to write for different sectors
- Computer skills (MS Word, Excel and Power point)
- Organisational skills and ability
- Strong attention to detail (essential)
- Innovative, creative and resourceful ideas
- Ability to adjust to the tone and character of our style guide and those of our clients
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must have at least three years’ writing experience, degree or diploma and sub-editing or editing qualification / certificate
- Diploma/ Degree in English or Journalism
