ROLE PURPOSE:
Provide an internal and external communications service to the organisation and support the implementation of the
internal and external communications plan.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Coordinate External Communications:
1.1. Write, source and edit articles for the various external publications and responsible for the copywriting of all scripts for advertising purposes.
1.2. Coordinate the timeous distribution of printed materials and publications and ensure an adequate supply of all printed material for distribution.
1.3. Conduct desktop research for collation of information.
1.4. Ensure proper online archiving of publications and relevant documentation.
1.5. Compile information for the website and forward written articles to the Graphic Designer for publishing on the
internet and the intranet.

Coordinate Interactions With The Media:
2.1. Coordinate the distribution of press clips and maintain a database of all clips.
2.2. Keep a log of all daily media enquiries.
2.3. Extract information on weekly and monthly media coverage and prepare reports. Liaise with external vendors to obtain the information.
2.4. Monitor media policy implementation and recommend corrective action.
2.5. Maintain the media database and update constantly.

Coordinate Communication Audits:
3.1. Conduct internal and external communication audits.
3.2. Analyse results, draft reports and publish recommendations.

Coordinate Thought Leadership Programme:
4.1. Provide Communications Support to Special Projects.
4.2. Compile and write information for thought leadership programme
4.3. Prepare and write responses to all incoming stakeholder responses.
4.4. Source information for publications and communication material timeously.
4.5. Source relevant newsworthy information for publication, website and for various communication material.
4.6. Coordinate the printing of various publications such as annual reports.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1.1 Degree in Communications / Journalism / Public Relations.
1.2 5 Years’ experience in PR / Communications / Journalism environment.
1.3 Excellent communication Skills / Excellent copy writing skills/ Computer Literacy – MS Office./ Editing skills.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS;
1.1 Successful candidate must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
