Kendrick Recruitment? are still seeking a Community Development Officer for a 5* Lodge situated in the famous Kruger National Park.The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the relationships between the lodge and community are maintained and developed, this is of upmost importance to the company to ensure that there is a positive impact on the local community due to the steps taken by the lodge.You will also work with the community to enhance the guest experience by giving them an insight into the local community life and to be able to inform them on how they can assist.IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT ALL CANDIDATES THAT APPLY FOR THIS JOB ARE CURRENTLY ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN COMMUNITY PROJECTS, HAVE EXTREMELY STRONG ADMIN SKILS, MUST BE ABLE TO DRAW UP BUDGETS FOR PROJECTS AND HAVE A BACKGROUND IN FUNDRAISING.Within this role you will be responsible for:Community Development:1. Facilitate funding partner development projects and guest support.2. Oversee the community visit process and content.3. Identify, implement, manage and monitor community development projects.4. Complete and manage administration related to the community development projects.5. Encourage staff commitment and involvement in community development projects.Human Resources:1. Managing the employment of casual workers.2. Data capturing of staff forms on the VIP system.3. Provide ad hoc support to staff.4. Facilitate the process of recruitment for junior positions.5. Managing and completing of general HR administration.The person filling this position needs to have:• Good English communication skills, as well as fluency in Shangaan/Tsonga• The ability to work independently• A matric certificate (Grade 12)• Code 8 drivers license – a PDP would be to the applicants advantage• Knowledge of the local community• Computer Literate – particularly MS Outlook, Word and Excel• Strong administrative and presentation skills• Experience in a similar community based or teaching position• Patience and reliabilitySalary offered for this role is between R6,500 – R9,500 per a month CTC with accommodation, meals and a contribution to medical aid and provident fund.PLEASE ONLY PUT FORWARD YOUR APPLICATION IF YOU MEET ALL OF THE ABOVE SPECIFICATIONS
