Our beautiful client based in Mpumalanga is looking for a a Communuity Development Officer for their stunning property in Mpumalanga.Purpose:The main purpose of Community Development Officer is to ensure the property has a successful community development programme, which is integrated into the lodge and has a positive impact on the local community. To enhance the experience of our guests by gaining a greater understanding of local community life and to be able to inform them on how they can assist.The Community Development Officer will provide assistance to the HR Manager by fulfilling specific HR objectives. The Community Development Officer must provide a written hand over of responsibilities to the Human Resource Manager in his/her absence and ensure that a full handover is received on his/her return.This position is accountable to the HR Manager.Community DevelopmentFacilitate funding partner development projects and guest support.Oversee the community visit process and content.Identify, implement, manage and monitor community development projects.Complete and manage administration related to the community development projects.Encourage staff commitment and involvement in community development projects.Human ResourcesManaging the employment of casual workers.Data capturing of staff forms on the VIP system.Provide ad hoc support to staff.Facilitate the process of recruitment for junior positions. Managing and completing of general HR administration.As such the person filling this position needs to have:Good English communication skills, as well as fluency in Shangaan/TsongaThe ability to work independentlyA matric certificate (Grade 12)Code 8 drivers license – a PDP would be to the applicants advantageKnowledge of the company’s community development projectsKnowledge of the local communityComputer Literate – particularly MS Outlook, Word and ExcelStrong administrative and presentation skillsExperience in mobilizing support – financial and other wiseExperience in a similar community based or teaching positionPatience and reliabilityAnd needs to be:ProactiveA decision makerSelf-motivated and drivenPassionate about staff and the local communities needsShould you not receive a response within 2 weeks, please assume your application unsuccessful.
