The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Digital & Consumer Engagement Manager and must speak isiXhosa and Zulu
The community manager has to be a good facilitator & listener and have the ability to ask relevant & thought-provoking questions in an engaging way. The role of the community manager is to: set the tone for the community, answer consumer questions, engaging with consumers and enforcing community guidelines.
Key integration areas and functions include:
Content strategy & Content creation
• Input into content brainstorms and planning sessions
• Input into Brand activity calendar
• Make recommendations on content that creative agencies supply and revert
• Brief tactical content
Managing the online communities
• To encourage page followers to engage with Hunter’s via their online channels;
• To act as an online brand ambassador;
• Attend events (may be on evenings, weekends and public holidays)
• To engage with and validate community interaction with considered responses;
• Publishing: posting and scheduling of content on all social channels
• Managing brand(s) support mail: logging into the mailboxes on a daily basis and responding to consumer queries
• Increasing the reach of campaigns
• Driving brand awareness
• Driving engagement & building brand loyalty
• Tracking issues and identifying crisis
• Identifying influencers and advocates
• Leverage user generated content (UGC)
• Live event amplification
• Creation of social media reports focusing on consumer insights
• Generation of qualitative and quantitative insights in partnership with digital analyst
• Distribution of findings and learnings to the broader range of brand teams
The successful candidate must preferably have the following qualification, skills and experience:
• Relevant Marketing Diploma / Degree
• Copy Writing experience
• Project Management experience
• Social media experience on: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, blogs and other relevant platforms
• Ability to travel, work evenings and public holidays when required
• An understanding of the alcohol industry
• Deep understanding of the millennial consumer;, trends, behaviours and cultural nuances that govern this consumer group
• Above average analytical and writing skills
• Be able to communicate at all levels
• Ability to work in cross functional groups within the business unit and fostering good working relationships with internal and external work partners
• High attention and adherence to detail
• Proficient in isiXhosa and Zulu
