Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Maintaining of excellent relations with the communities in which the company operates. The communities include local residents as well as farmers.
• Maintaining of excellent relations with the (Social and Labour Plan (SLP) officials of the DMR as well as local and regional government officials.
• Converting of the SLP obligations into action plans.
• Managing the implementation of SLP projects.
• Managing the Corporate Social Investment (CSI) function.
• Develop strategies and action plans to improve community relations (i.e. a community relations strategy and action plan).
• Ensure that compliance reporting is correct and on time.
• Ensure that additional reporting to the community as required by the strategy or by stakeholders is professionally executed.
• Provide a community intelligence information system to ensure that the Company understands community issues and react pro-actively.

Skills & Requirements:

• Multi-lingual (must deal with various cultural and interest groups, including farmers).
• Proven track record of success.
• Socially apt and experienced.
• Can communicate and operate at executive level.
• Excellent and proven communication skills.
• Excellent and proven presentation skills.
