Compensation & Benefits Manager | Africa
We are urgently recruiting for a highly experienced Rewards / Compensation & Benefits Manager for an international Warehousing, Logistics and Distribution conglomerate. You will drive innovation within the C&B sphere, and you will oversee the implementation of the Reward strategy across the relevant countries in the region, whilst providing expert advice and input into local policies and practices to underpin this.

Key responsibilities will also include:
• You will be responsible for the development and implementation of philosophy & strategy, compensation & benefits strategy, policies, processes, procedures and mechanisms in accordance with legislation and international best practices to ensure that the company is able reward and retain best individuals in the market so that the organizational strategic objectives are met
• You will design and implement employee and executive compensation and benefits programs to ensure that C&B programs are aligned with the company's rewards philosophy and overall strategy.
• Additionally, you will oversee alignment of employee pay levels with the external and internal value of jobs as well as employees performance.
• Be the internal expert on C&B matters within Africa and gain support for local initiatives.
• Liaise with external Remuneration Companies to ensure reliable and accurate benchmarking is available and participate in Remuneration Surveys.
• Manage the annual Incentive Scheme for Executive and Non Executive participants in terms of Global Guidelines.

You will possess the following Skills & Experience
• Degree / Masters in HR or Industrial Psychology or C&B or related
• GRP preferred
• Extensive experience 7 - 10 years in the field of Human Resources of which at least 5 years should be on management level in the specific field of expertise (C&B)
• Experience in consultation on Executive level
• Large scale Compensation and Benefits management experience
• Knowledge of legislative acts and prescripts relating to Compensation and Benefits principles and behaviours
• Strong understanding of the Supply Chain business and knowledge of operations.
• Research and share leading practices with other C&B team members
• Good influencing, negotiating and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of the Africa market from a C&B perspective including relevant legislation
• Proficient with NBC, BCEA, PAYE and UIF Acts/Legislation
• SARA Membership preferred
• Expert level Excel
