To assist in all compliance related activities. This includes amongst other responsibilities, compliance administration, collating documentation for compliance reviews, assisting in creating compliance awareness, monitoring and reporting.

Key Performance Areas:
• Identifying legislative risks and breaches.
• Monitoring and interpreting relevant laws and regulations.
• Experience and knowledge in compliance with a focus on POPI, FAIS, NCA.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of compliance management plans, policies and processes .
• Assist with preparing and submitting reports and weekly register to the FSB.
• Formulating compliance monitoring reports.
• Drafting ad hoc legal opinions on NCA, FAIS and POPI Act.
• Liaise with business on compliance and regulatory matters.
• Compiling periodic reports to Management, Risk committee and Audit Committee.
• Preparing and submitting of all reports to the South African Reserve Bank.
• Monitoring and advising on blocked and frozen accounts.
• Liaison with HR and Teba Ltd with regard to the FAIS register of representatives.
• Ensuring alignment of the representatives list with that of the FSB.
• Administering of the application process for representatives, key individuals and compliance officers to the FSB.
• Provide administrative support with regard to the submission of the annual Compliance report to the FSB.
• Project managing all Compliance Self-Assessment questionnaires.
• Submission of adhoc invoices to Finance.
• Administration of stationery requisitions and all other compliance related work that may be allocated by management.

Qualifications, Experience, knowledge and skills:
• Legal degree or studying toward a legal degree is essential.
• Certificate in Banking is essential.
• 2 years compliance administration experience in the Banking & Finance industry is essential

• Strong administrative background is essential.
• Experience in the Banking environment is essential.
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements in terms of the following categories of legislation: Crime Prevention legislation (FICA) Consumer Protection legislation (FAIS) is essential.
• Compliance Institute of SA: Monitoring course for Compliance officers is essential.
• Detailed knowledge of Anti Money Laundering, FICA, NCA, FAIS, and Code of Banking Practice is essential.
• Detailed knowledge of compliance methodology is essential.
• Experience in reporting to the Financial Intelligence Centre in terms of FICA.
• Experience in training on FICA.
