Job Purpose
To tactically implement the Compliance strategy and associated road map, while aligning subordinates to the overall goal of what needs to be achieved within the Business Unit. The role will co-ordinate, manage and monitor the daily activities of the Compliance Department.

Education and Experience Minimum:
Three Year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7: Financial or Legal)

Desired:
Honours Degree in a Financial or Legal capacity
Compliance related qualification

Experience Minimum:
5 to 8 Years’ experience in a Compliance related environment

Desired:
5 to 8 Years’ experience in a Compliance related environment, within the Banking industry

Responsibilities
Execute and control Money Laundering Control responsibilities of the Bank Draw, update and / or review money laundering policies and procedures of the comany and align to comply with FICA Act and associated regulations Manage the activities of the Compliance Department to ensure achievement of the Banks’ strategic objectives Monitor and enforce compliance with external laws and regulations, and internal policies and procedures
Conduct compliance monitoring to identify issues of non-compliance and address accordingly
Assist Business Units in implementing remedial actions on identified non-compliance / deficiencies
Provide relevant guidance and support on how to address issues of non-compliance / deficiencies, in conjunction with Business Units
