A leading financial services group specialising in providing a range of financial service solutions for long-term wealth creation seeks an experienced Compliance Officer to be based at its Bellville office.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse, interpret and communicate relevant regulatory developments and changes
• Develop compliance risk management plans and advise clients on the practical implementation of relevant regulatory requirements
• Monitoring control mechanisms implemented as part of risk management plans and processes
• Provide advice on implementation of regulatory requirements to be followed to ensure compliance
• Report on monitoring results to the relevant levels of management and Compliance
• Internal and external stakeholder engagement i.e. compliance forums, committees etc
• Coordinate and provide training related to specific legislative requirements
• May be required to be registered as a Compliance Officer in terms of FAIS (either acting under supervision or not)

Key Requirements

• Legal degree
• CFP strongly recommended
• Compliance Management qualification strongly recommended
• From 3 years relevant legal and compliance management experience
• From 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry
• Knowledge of FAIS, FICA, Trust Property Control ACT, Wills Act, TCF, etc
