We are currently seeking a senior compliance officer for one of our well established clients with in the freight & logistics sector.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree
Analytical, technical and interpersonal skills
At least 3 years experience in roles of increasing responsibility within Corporate Governance, Internal Control Systems, Internal Audit, Risk and BCP function with strong skills in planning / analysis, systems, and reporting
Ability to devise and implement action plans to support strategic objectives.
Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work, handle pressure and take day-to-day decisions on the running of the programs.
Ability to develop, monitor and maintain management information systems and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and over the telephone with individuals and with a wide variety of organisations and audiences and to research, analyse and interpret complex information and produce clear verbal and written reports.
Understanding of equalities and diversity best practice and legislative requirements in relation to service delivery and business development.

Responsibilities:

Responsible to establish, develop and maintain procedures for the general operation of the Risk Registers, Business Continuity Planning (“BCP”), updating of BilMog documentation (ICS), internal assurance audits on the risk registers, ad hoc internal audits on any breaches of internal control, implementation of King III Report (excluding compliance to laws and SOP?s). Collaborate with and provide guidance to the Board of Directors and the Corporate Governance Committee.

Maintain monthly Risk Registers including Incident Registers for all the business units in South Africa and the Sub-Saharan Africa Region

Maintain BCP for all the business units

Maintain BilMog documentation and updates for all the business units

Coordinate Insurance, manage and review

Roll out and implementation of Global SoP?s and drafting of work insrtuctions

Monitoring and managing of all claims
