National Debt Advisors is currently looking for a Compliance Team Leader. The successful candidate will assist in managing the risk and behaviour of the business in order to ensure alignment with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities & Duties include but not limited:

- Conducting various audits throughout the business
- Conducting internal investigations throughout the business units
- Process and procedure comparison
- Complete reports on monthly fall offs, terminations, cancellations and all other relevant process reporting
- Identifying process and procedural gaps
- Submission of recommendations for process changes
- Identifying risks and escalating training gaps with recommendations to both operations and HR
- Ensuring the correct information in terms of learning and training is communicated to the relevant stakeholders responsible for training throughout the business
- Reviewing legislation
- Communicating industry changes which may affect the business to all stakeholders* (review, may be a management function)
- Providing learning and coaching support to employees
- Applying disciplinary action
- Minimizing and managing risk
- Ensuring overall business compliance between and across all units
- Management of NCR complaints and liaison
- Liaising with external stakeholders in the industry whilst forging good relationships with key players

Qualifications, competencies and requirements:

- Matric/NQF Level 4 qualification
- NCR registered Debt Counsellor
- A minimum of three years’ experience in the debt review industry
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a call centre environment
- A minimum of one year’s experience in the Insurance industry
- Experience in NCR liaison and Debt Review court procedures
- Sound knowledge of the National Credit Act (to be tested)
- An understanding of the Debt Review legal process
- Experience in leading a compliance team/debt counsellors or auditory knowledge in the debt review industry

Salary: R16 000 - R20 000
