Concession Manager

World Class 5* Game Lodge Botswana

To oversee all technical maintenance aspects and habitat preservation within the company’s concession in Northern Botswana

The concession area is 350 km2 and encompasses pristine wilderness areas of dry land and seasonal swamps in Northern Botswana.

The Concession Manager position will be bush based but candidate is expected to travel frequently to the company’s head office

Mature candidate with tertiary qualifications in Technical Maintenance Related fields of expertise and or Wildlife Management / Tourism

or other relevant and minimum 6 years relevant experience in the Lodge Industry in Concession or Maintenance Management.

Requires proven ability to oversee all technical maintenance aspects including vehicle fleet, boats, generators, STP and Water Treatment Systems,

Solar and Electrical, and be able to project manage. Requires good eye for detail, accurate stock control ability and reporting, can do attitude, sound

budgeting and planning ability. Has an understanding of conservation principles locally and internationally and is familiar with fauna, flora, climate,

history, geography, geology. Can identify firearms, their use and safety aspect. Must be willing to live in remote wilderness areas for extended periods

and work under pressurized conditions. Able to drive vehicles, safari vehicles, supply trucks etc. on all types of road surfaces (deep sand, mud etc).

Driver’s license essential and computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Office, CAD, Outlook and Pluspoint/ Apex an advantage.

Must be willing to live in remote areas for extended periods.

Salary is BWP 18,000 ( R 24 000 ) negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
