This position is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the review of new business for the firm’s Johannesburg office working closely with the Managing Director of New Business Conflicts, Director of New Business Conflicts, New Business Conflicts Manager, Ethics Committee, firm attorneys and other levels of firm administration to facilitate resolution of conflicts of interest and business sensitivity issues.

• Supervise and coordinate team consisting of Analysts and Analyst Assistants to identify and facilitate resolution of conflicts of interest and firm business issues as it relates to requests associated with potential new business and submitted by any of Hogan Lovells International LLP offices,
• Assist attorneys in identification and resolution of conflicts of interest and firm business issues; coordinate receipt and documentation of client waivers and/or consents,
• Prepare and implement screens/firewalls when required in new firm matters,
• Coordinate and provide oversight on team assignments and monitor the progress of conflicts clearance review as it relates to new matters primarily for the International LLP offices,
• Consult the Managing Director of New Business Conflicts, Director of New Business Conflicts, New Business Conflicts Manager and members of the Ethics Committee, as necessary, to receive guidance on the identification and resolution of conflicts of interest and business issues,
• Develop and assist with the training of probationary and full time Analysts and Analyst Assistants,
• Review overtime and other payroll documentation of Analysts and Analyst Assistants,
• Prepare annual evaluations of Analysts and Analyst Assistants on the International LLP Conflicts team, and
• Assist with other projects and other administrative assignments concerning the International LLP Conflicts team, as may be assigned.
