1. Job Intent

PURPOSE: • To work with Project manager to ensure that Projects at Exxaro are implemented with the least risks and in accordance with the specification as specified by Exxaro • To prevent potential risk at feasibility stage, prior to it happening during implementation • To ensure the correct suppliers/ vendors are selected to do the job • To ensure the erection and manufacturing is done in a safe way with the least lost time injuries

MAJOR CHALLENGES: • To achieve completing the project in time on budget without incidents • Continuous improvement and benchmarking with industry and leading project management practice • Cross functional professional support and cooperation required for project component integration • Working knowledge of different expert areas of project


2. Job Requirements

2.1 Qualifications:

• B Eng (Relevant) ( Essential/Minimum ) •
• Government Cert of Comp: Mine & Works ( Recommended/Desirable ) •
• Management Development Programme ( Essential/Minimum ) •

2.2 Experience:

• Experience in Quality Assurance in the project environment •
Construction experience in mining or heavy industry
