To source the best Information Communication Technology goods and services at best value for company and government and focus on the most priority ICT areas for government.
Key Responsibility Area
Develop Acquisition Management operational plan that is aligned to the Acquisition Management Strategy for the operationalisation and implementation of the Demand / Resource plan. Lead communication with clients to ensure effective operationalisation of Acquisition Management activities. Facilitate the promotion of BEE and SMME suppliers within the SCM process in order to develop the indigenous ICT sector. Monitor the end to end sourcing process through effective management of the procurement processes and overall life cycle management of the contract in order to achieve economies of scale and ensure compliance to regulations, and any instructions issued by National Treasury from time to time. Monitor and review contract performance regularly in order to maximise benefit and value in the operationalisation of the contract. Manage resources (i.e. budget/finances, asset/equipment and staff) within the Unit in order to ensure the efficient operation of Unit.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Business Management/Logistics/Public Finance and/or Commercial Law) or equivalent. Registration with Supply Chain Management professional bodies will serve as an added advantage. Experience: 5 - 6 years experience within the Supply Chain Management and/or Procurement environment as well as experience in a supervisory level in the Corporate/ Public Sector organization.

Knowledge of: Public Financial Management Act; Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act; Black Economic Empowerment; Broad Black Based Economic Empowerment; Treasury Regulations; Basic IT knowledge Treasury Regulations; Basic IT knowledge. Skills: Planning & organizing; Financial management; People Management and Leadership; Communication management; Consultation and negotiation; Change and transformation management; Interpersonal skills and conflict management; Project management; Computer literacy; Negotiation and Networking; Conflict management.
Other Special Requirements
The incumbent will be required to travel to other company offices around the country.
