We are a digital media and publishing start-up with global reach providing an online database featuring science programmes and research and innovation insights related to higher education and industries in Africa and are currently looking for interns for a 6-month paid internship contract in the following positions to work closely with the organisation’s project managers:
• Content Writers/Journalists
• Sales, Marketing and PR
• Graphic Designer
This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a social enterprise and grow within a thriving business while pushing your career, which can switch into a temporary or permanent position. You will gain on-the-job training and a basic understanding of the research and innovation environment in Africa.
We pay R2500 per month stipend plus incentives.
Only university graduates will be considered and final year students needing in-service training provided they have a recommendation from their institutions or supervisors.

ROLES:
Content Writers/Journalists – Driving contents, research, and create targeted work and editing inspiring content for various digital marketing platforms such as social media, blogs and database, reporting on science, technology and innovation from and about the African continent, conducting interviews and working on PR with international correspondents and professional journalists.
Sales, Marketing and PR – Main role would be to bring in new business and to manage accounts.
Graphic Designer – Designing marketing collateral, corporate identity and branding, print and advertising, editing and retouching photography, optimizing visual contents for web. Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• A tertiary qualification (degree / diploma / certificate – this includes students in their last year)
• Excellent communication skills in English (Any foreign language e.g Portuguese, French, etc. a plus, but not a prerequisite)
• Exceptional knowledge of correct grammar and flawless grasp of spelling.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Go-getter and self-starter.
• A people’s person who can work in a vibrant office space.
• Ability to engage with a wide array of customers
• Thriving in competitive and dynamic environment
