CONTRACT ROLE: Our Client based in Cape Town CBD is looking for an experienced accountant with 6 years experience to join their company on a contract basis.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Preparation of reconciliations
• Preparation of journals
• Responsible for the debtors and creditors cycle
• Responsible for allocation correctly GL codes to purchase orders
• Assisting in compiling all statutory returns for the group
• Assist with cash flow forecasting for all entities
• Preparation of tax schedules
• Preparation of BEE reports
• Preparation of month-end management pack and financial analysis
• Responsible for intercompany confirmation
• Offer direct support to the financial/management accountant
• Adhoc requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Good writing skills
• Computer literate and highly proficient in the use of MS Excel
• Problem-solving skills
• A positive work attitude and willingness to work longer hours during peak periods
• Attention to detail and strong administrative ability
• Very organised and structured approach to completion of tasks
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to adopt to change

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:

• BCom Accounting/ National diploma in accounting
• Minimum 6 years relevant experience in a similar position
• Systems knowledge – SAP & PASTEL will be an advantage
• Ms Excel
