My client that is based in Port Shepstone is currently looking to appoint Contract Manager, to Manage all aspects of a mining operation .Manage the routing, scheduling, dispatching, monitoring & receiving of vehicles & equipment according to production requirements. Manage revenue, costs and the entire financial function of the business including reporting on financials and month-end processes.

. Experience include
• Matric or equivalent
• National Diploma /Degree - logistics/ transport management or Mining qualifications
• 5 years minimum experience in a senior supervisory/ management.
• Experience with Mining/ Earthmoving Heavy Machinery.
• Experience in open cast mining.
• Sound knowledge of the MHSA, OSHAS, ISO standards and basic labour relations and the NBCRFLI main agreement.

Responsibilities include
• Manage all aspects of a transport operation incl.:
• Manage the routing, scheduling, dispatching, monitoring & receiving of vehicles & equipment according to production requirements.
• Manage revenue, costs and the entire financial function of the business including reporting on financials and month-end processes.
• Ensuring optimal utilization of fleet & staff to meet operational targets.
• Ensuring fleet is maintained & in the required condition to operate/function optimally.
• Manage day to day relationship with client and attend regular client liaison meetings.
• Ensuring operations administration is processed accurately and timeously.
• Implementing, reinforcing and manage SHEQ initiatives and controls.
• Ensure optimal staff structure at all times in terms of recruitment, succession and development.
• Efficiently manage staff working hours, overtime, discipline, IR relations etc.
• Ensure proper development of staff in view of compliance training needs and succession purposes
