Our client has a vacancy for a Converged Communications Networks Consultant

Job Purpose:
To provide support and implementation of Network infrastructure including the planning and implementation of
Network expansions

Key Responsibility Areas:
Network Infrastructure Preparation and support; Network Management, Maintenance and Administration; User
Support; Service Reporting and Client Communication.

Qualifications and Experience
•National Diploma/degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/Network Architecture and/ or equivalent.
•Experience: 6-7 years’ experience in the provision and support of ICT solutions, specifically within Wide Area Networking environment.

Technical Competencies Description
•In-depth knowledge of: Computer and network principles; WAN principles and topology; Internet protocols,
Services and standards; SLA reporting; Quality of Service; Voice over IP (VoIP); Networking knowledge and
Experience; WAN and Gateway operational, support and maintenance knowledge and experience; WAN and
Gateway planning and design knowledge and experience; Government Wide Enterprise Architecture (GWEA).
•In-depth understanding of: Network Management ; VPN technologies and concepts; Modems; Carrier technology;LAN Principles; Cabling Principles; Network Operating Systems; Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS);Project Management.
