We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Copper Cable Jointers and Fibre Splicers both locally and overseas.

Copper Cable Jointers must be able to perform the following tasks:

• CPAS – Cable pressure alarm system

• Lead cable knowledge

• Have sound knowledge in being able to read, identify and understand CAD or Spatial design diagrams for the layout of cables and Network Infrastructure

• Knowledge of how to haul small or large copper cables through underground conduits.

• Have good experience in preparing copper cables for jointing and termination

• Be able to test and locate faults and maintain and repair cables

• Understanding of pillars / cabinets and the terminating modules within the Cross connecting units

• Able to jumper and terminate at mainframes at Infrastructure and cross connecting units

Experience and qualifications needed:

• Hauling copper, Mainframe terminations ,Cable rearrangements

• Copper cable jointing, Preparing cables for joint re-entry and new joint makes

• Labelling, Cut overs, Fault finding and test equipment

• Pre-provisioning, Pillar and Cabinet
