A Corporate Compliance Manager with a Legal qualification (BComm Law / LLB) is urgently needed for one of the biggest Firms based in Gauteng (Isando).

OUTPUTS
• Design, co-ordinate, oversee and monitor the implementation of the Ethics and Legal Compliance Programmes in southern Africa.
• Report to management on progress programme implementation and assist with improvement plans.
• Develop a comprehensive Ethics and Compliance training plan and provide compliance training on regulatory obligations and Group policies and procedures.
• Guide business in the management of ethics and compliance risks and manage deliverables.
• Manage information received through the Whistle Blowing hotline.
• Coordinate internal compliance reviews and monitoring of ethics and compliance activities.
• Prepare internal and external compliance reports.
• Provide assistance to external auditors compliance reviews.
• Handle internal and external compliance queries and liaise with regulatory and industry bodies, if necessary.
• Act as the point of contact for various industry regulators, including the Information Regulator under the Protection of Personal Information Act.
• Consult with local attorneys in southern Africa as necessary to address compliance issues.
• Keep abreast on regulatory industry changes, trends, and assess potential impact on business.
• Project manage the implementation of new legislation and Group projects across the business.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to develop appropriate training for employees and managers.
• Develop and implement appropriate policies for Ethics and Legal Compliance
• Perform annual review of policies to ensure relevance

REQUIREMENTS OF CANDIDATES
• Legal qualification (BComm Law / LLB)
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in compliance and risk management.
• Completed a Compliance Management course
• Registered member of the Compliance Institute of South Africa. Admitted Attorney will be an advantage
• Experience working in markets with different compliance requirements preferably with a multinational corporate
• Strong project management skills. Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience working in a product and service based organisation
• Ability to understand and interpret relevant legislation
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Analytical thinking. Detail-orientated
• Strategic thinker
• Key Understanding of compliance processes and controls
• Drive and Pro-activity. Self-starter
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Computer literacy, including the ability to use word processing packages and data management systems
