A phenomenal opportunity for a CA(SA) looking for a role in Corporate Finance, part of a JSE Listed company. The position is based in Cape Town and requires some limited travel to JHB. My client is looking for a distinguished, driven and career-focused individual to join their team within the Corporate Finance / Deals division. The desired profile would firstly be well qualified, as either a CA(SA) / CFA / MBA or LLB professional, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Corporate Finance focusing on Business Valuations, Due Diligence, JSE requirements, Analysis, Modelling, Report-writing and making recommendations, etc. This position is exclusive with me and all applications should be directed through me.

Job Description:

This opportunity will see the chosen incumbent getting involved in all the angles involved with deal-making, including:

Deal Origination (performing feasibility analysis on investment opportunities and engaging with the Executive committee regarding recommendations);

Deal Execution (performing due diligence investigations, reviewing legal agreements and making recommendations, liaising with the sponsors on all JSE matters pertaining to transactions, compiling statutory documents such as Circulars and announcements to shareholders, maintenance of deal files, tracking and managing the fulfillment of all conditions precedent and closing condition on transactions and assisting with PPA analysts);

Research (compiling semi-annual research reports on investments for submission to the Executive Committee and performing industry research on new industries and new opportunities to be included in IM’s) and Valuations (maintaining and updating the Group SOTP valuation model, updating the valuation model for new acquisitions and industry changes bi-annually, interrogating the quality of each underlying investments; projections and updating the Intrinsic NAV calculation on the company’s website.)
