Our client, a market leader within the fruit export industry has a vacancy for a Cost Accountant to join their team based in the Cape Wineland’s region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure the supply of and integrity of data used in the costing process of the company
• Weekly preparations of Grower Payments
o Grower payments adjustments update in accounting system
o Bank reconciliations for ZAR & foreign currency accounts
o Processing of sales invoicing

REQUIREMENTS:
• BTech/ BComm/ BCompt Degree
• SAICA articles will be an advantageous
• Computer skills and extensive experience in Excel
• Experience in data systems on accounting side
• Relevant accounting experience & understanding of the fruit industry would strengthen application
• Cost accounting & standard cost principles essential
• Forex handling
• Excellent organisational skills, i.e. prioritization key element
• Energetic and disciplined
• Good people skills & leadership abilities
• Precise and accurate - attention to detail a pre-requisite
• Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must have a hard working mentality/ethic
