COST ACCOUNTANT Diploma or Degree & 2 years+ exp in manufacturing environment

Permanent, full time position
Location: Montana, Gauteng
Salary: R20 000 to R30 000 – depending on experience
Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Cost and Management Accounting
Computer literate with strong emphasis on Excel
CIMA will be an advantage

Clear and thorough understanding of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment:
Cost element accounting
Cost center accounting
Activity based costing
Product cost controlling (Inventory, labour and overheads)
Profitability Analysis
Profit Center Accounting
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar environment
SAP exposure and experience will be an advantage

Main duties and responsibilities will include:
Provide support to implement a standard costing system on SAP
Check material master data in SAP on an ongoing basis
Check bills of materials on an ongoing basis
Check routings, work centers and activity types on an ongoing basis
Calculation of labour/machine rates and overheads (production and admin)
Involved in stock take processes and checking accuracy of stock takes captured
Inventory valuation and variance analysis and resolving stock queries
Monthly costing run on SAP
Analysis of deviations
Product costing sheets (pre-calculation) for sales department
