Our Client, a major chain restaurant company in the Western Cape, is looking for an experienced Cost Accountant / Stock Controller to join their Group at their various locations.

The primary focus of this job is to take responsibility and accountability for the effective control of all cash, stock and time & attendance information and the compliance with all legislation, policies and procedures of various sites and in accordance with the approved strategic plan, budget, policies, procedures, controls and guidelines.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 

Relevant 3-year Degree / Diploma in finance or equivalent qualification from a reputable tertiary institution 

2 - 3 years’ experience in financial and stock controls / auditing

Valid Driver’s license and own reliable transport

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

The continuous growth and improvement of the performance of the Trust through:

Conduct regular audits at all sites to ensure that:

all Cash, Stock and Time & Attendance is effectively managed

all sites comply with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures, and all system information is accurate

Identify all risks relating to the business, establish root causes and in consultation with the Group Finance and Administration Manager, put mitigating controls and procedures in place to manage such risks 

 In consultation with the Trust GM to ensure that all risk is mitigated and non-compliances are corrected

 Assist the Finance and Administration Department with the preparation of management accounts and other reports

SALARY: R15 000 –R17 500

Allowances:

Recovery of cost basis allowance (Cell + Petrol).
