A great opportunity has become available for a Cost Accountant. The position is based in Pietermaritzburg at a leading South African FMCG. The mandatory requirements for this position are a BCom or equivalent, 1-2 years management accounting experience and some exposure to processing or manufacturing environments. Some of the key responsibilities include:
• Product Costing and Margin Improvement
• Continuously analyse and audit standard costs of products
• Analyse variance reports of actual cost vs standard cost monthly
• Maintain close working relationship with the regional sales team
• Track product and customer profit margins
