Our client currently has a vacancy for a Cost Accountant in their Finance department. (EE Position)

Responsibilities

Analyse, investigate and report on the costs and variances of production and stock within the business to optimise profitability of the organisation.
SAP related month-end tasks, processing of Journals and weekly/monthly reporting and costing on SAP.
Reconciling balance sheet accounts and expense accounts.
Processing Labour broker invoices and reconciling to statements.
Analyse, process and report on transport costs and reconcile to supplier statements.
Prepare weekly and monthly production, productivity, manning and loss figures for management meetings.
Assist with preparation of profitability and cost studies.
Assist the Financial Controller in preparation of annual Budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Participation in annual audits and Financial Year End process.
General administration and Audits.
QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE
Bcom or Diploma in Cost Accounting
3-5 years cost accounting experience – (in a large manufacturing environment – advantageous)
SAP experience essential

Good interpersonal, communication and report writing skills
Strong analytical skills with ability to solve problems through analysis
Detail conscious and deadline driven
The ability to get on with people & the ability to achieve report at all levels.
br />KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Working knowledge of SAP, IFRS and budget management.
Microsoft Office Skills (Intermediate).

• Salary - R16 000 - R18 000.00
