My client in Cape Town is needing an experienced Cost Accountant to join their Finance team. This is a hands on role and requires a strong personality. The position will report to the Financial Manager.



Qualification:

Matric

3-year Diploma / Degree in Cost and Management Accounting



Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 3 years Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

Advanced daily movement of stock

Exposure to Syspro

Stock and costing reports as well as labour and overhead reports



Job Description:

Maintaining Bill of Materials

Continuous monitoring of stock and production variances to ensure accurate BOM’s

Analysing profitability reports for exceptions and errors

Controlling of stock

Co-ordinate weekly and monthly stock takes and ensuring accurate capturing thereof

Analyzing variances and implement control measures

Balancing and checking warehouses

Any and all ad-hoc items as the company sees fit
