Qualification:

BCom in Cost and Management Accounting

and/or

BTech in Cost and Management Accounting

and/or

National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting



Skills & Experience:

+/-1 year experience in Cost Accounting or a similar role

Proficient in MS Excel

Detail orientated

Great problem solving and analytical skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills

Organizational skills

Motivated and driven



Job Description:

Prepare cost estimates based on briefs received from the Project Managers / Sales Representatives

Obtain quotes where necessary

Accurate allocation of time / resources spent on projects

Accurate allocation of group overheads to various projects

Based on the above, calculating the rate to be charged, to maintain a reasonable profit margin

Approve purchase orders against this budget / cost estimate

Monitoring actual spend against budget

Capturing of invoices against the various projects in the accounting system

Submitting all relevant invoices for payment

Report on project profitability vs budget

Prepare variance analysis

Cost saving initiatives within projects

Maintaining all relevant source documents / accounting records for audit trail
