POSITION: Cost Accountant
DIVISION: Ascendis Supply Chain
REPORTS TO: Costing and BI Manager

JOB OBJECTIVE

The incumbent will be responsible for Inventory management, Bills of materials, KPI reporting, RFQ costing, Budgeting and forecasting including Monthly manufacturing accounts reports.


TASK DESCRIPTION/JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that stockholding in FG and RM is at optimal levels for Selling & MRP purposes
Ensure that standard costs reflected on Syspro are correct
Monthly reasonability checks and cost implosions
Weekly revision of PPV for the stock management meeting
Quarterly update of raw material prices
Revision of activity-based costing model - work center recovery rates
Control & Report on weekly and monthly KPI reports generated on Syspro
Measure production output vs budget/forecast
Measure production yield and efficiency variances
Manufacturing performance - (under)/over-recovery
Costing of NPD to determine product profitability
Annual budget preparation of the manufacturing budget
Quarterly review of the manufacturing forecast
Analyse manufacturing accounts with manufacturing management.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

o Bcom/BTech – Cost & Management Accounting
o 5 years manufacturing experience
o 5 years Syspro ERP experience
o Experience in Pharmaceuticals Advantageous
o MS Excel(advanced), ODBC
