My client is looking for a strong Cost and Management Accountant to join their growing Manufacturing concern, based in Epping. The ideal incumbent will have extensive experience (3 years+) as CAM coming out of a Manufacturing environment – this aspect is non-negotiable. Although this is a CAM position, the candidate must have a strong understanding of Financial Accounting with heavy emphasis on Costing – again, a crucial, must-have. Please note that the candidate must be flexible by being able to work in a factory environment and be open to working overtime and occasionally on a Saturday, should the need arise.

Qualification:
National Diploma (complete) in Cost and Management Accounting / Financial Management or similar
Or
BCom / BTech or similar

Skills & Experience:
Costing – raw materials, BOM, inventory, labor, etc.
Management Accounts
Coming out of a Manufacturing environment
2 years+ practical experience
Knowledge of GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards
Strong Excel experience
Computer literate and a proven track record of working on accounting packages

This position will be based on the factory floor and exists to provide detailed analysis and costing on everything from raw materials, to labor to stock costs, compile management packs, providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and much, much more.
