Our client that trades in the replacement automotive parts industry, marketing and distributing quality automotive parts or components, DIY, DIFM (do-it-for-me) and leisure travel products is looking for a Costing Clerk to work on an temp assignment for 3 months.

Qualifications & Experience:
? Grade 12/Matric
? Understanding of Basic accounting processes
? must be honest and show integrity
? Good communication skills
? Ability to work under pressure

Duties and Responsibilities
Need to be able to cost a shipment manually and on excel showing what makes up a landed cost per line item of a commercial invoice.
Can calculate both on excel and manually what costs are used to reach a conversion factor (BI) so that each line item can be calculated to landed cost and to help in doing estimated costing.
Have a basic understanding on the harmonised tariff headings and how to look up items and determine tariff numbers and duty percentages under Sch1 prt2 and prt2B.
? Costing to be done nationally (Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Durban)
? Costing to be sent to Procurement Director and Product Manager for approval
? Once approved Pre-GRV to be done
? This process is to be done within a 24 hour window frame
? Sea freight costing to be completed at least 5 – 7 working days before delivery
? Airfreight costing no later than same day of delivery
? Courier shipments are done immediately upon arrival
Once FEC is purchased deal ticket needs to be placed in file, stamping invoice “FORWARD COVER GRANTED” showing due date, confirming FEC amount and invoice amount tie up. {This is part of the old ruling for Reserve Bank Dispensation, and continued as a added check on cover purchased}
? Answer emails and communicate regarding all requests and queries
? Filing needs to be done daily ensuring all documents are filed as per SARS and SARB rules and regulations.
? Archiving is done through Metro-file once a year and 5 years of documents are kept.
? Current files on the premises is 18 months
All tasks within the shipping department have a procedure which can be followed and is updated periodically.
