This is a highly pressurised, Senior appointment for a well-qualified (Degree/Diploma in a related field) candidate from the Automotive Industry. A specialisation in International Purchasing is highly sought after as is overseas experience and an International mind-set. This person leads a team of Regional Buyers and is responsible for developing a network within the internal customers of the Country, identify improvements to integrate commodity strategies to effectively realise Group commodity projects. Undertake to contribute to the Commodity strategies, negotiate local, national and international supplier contracts, lead cost reduction exercises and ensure compliance of the purchasing processes.
