Orms Cape Town School of Photography provides photographic training and education through Part-Time courses, workshops and seminars as well as a One Year Full Time Study Programme. We are looking for a Course Coordinator to oversee the smooth running and the further development of our Part Time Study Programme.

Responsibilities include
• Student liaison: coordinate the booking of courses, communication with regard to school events and activities and management of student enrolments and submissions for exhibition purposes
• Lecturer liaison: Booking of courses, communication with regard to school events and activities, management of lecturer admin and class registers, management of lecturers with regard to student submissions for exhibition purposes
• Overseeing and updating student database and the preparation of course material
• Regular updating and maintenance of the school website content
• Updating and development of existing course material and the development of new courses and course material
• Monitoring and evaluation as it pertains to the part time study programme
• Assist the school head in the recruitment of new lecturers
• Coordination and development of satellite teaching – off site
• Develop marketing strategies appropriate to the part time courses and communicate with the marketing team regarding social media, newsletters, blog posting, Instagram projects pertaining to the Part Time Study Programme
• Develop the content and select images for the Part Time School Brochure
• Coordination and hanging of all part time study work for exhibition

• Skilled in post-production – Lightroom, Photoshop
• Computer proficiency – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Level of education and work experience
• A relevant bachelor’s degree in either photography or, art, design, arts and culture management, social sciences and a post graduate qualification in education would be advantages
• A minimum of three years’ professional experience

Duration of contract
October 2016 – October 2017, five working days a week
