Credit Controller - Gaborone, Botswana (Manufacturing / Retail)

We are urgently recruiting for a Credit Controller to ensure that the achievement of customer collection targets, essential to the profitability of the company, are met. Must be able to start immediately.

You will meet the following minimum requirements/criteria:
• Relevant Credit Management Qualification (Required).
• Minimum of 5 years prior experience within FMCG / retail trade / manufacturing (Non Negotiable)
• High level of maturity and experienced team leadership.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (must be advanced - non negotiable)
• Proficiency in MS Word, Power Point
• Must have a drivers license

As the successful Credit Controller you will be a systematic problem solver, adept at building and maintaining relationships. Key accountabilities will include:
• Allocating all payments onto accounts - To ensure that new accounts are credit worthy and that trade is happening between the two parties according to agreed terms.
• Maintaining Journals and the reconciliation of accounts
• Resolving all account queries
• Executing Credit Control up to handover
• Following up on unpaid invoices and provide necessary documentation to clients
• Releasing sales orders according to credit vetting rules
• Collecting cash/cheques
• Compiling debtor correspondence in accordance with legislation and standard procedures (Letters of payment, etc.)

Location: The successful incumbent will primarily be based in Gaborone, Botswana.
