EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

3-4 years credit control experience
Accounting certificate/diploma - preferable
Elite experience would be advantageous
ARCS experience would be advantageous
Be proficient in office administration, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and accounts package (Elite)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Collection of assigned debtors’ book – HIGH VALUE
Identifying payments daily from bank statements and advising receipting clerk for allocating
Assisting with identifying unallocated payments on bank reconciliation
“Cleaning up of accounts” i.e. clearing small balances of forex differences, bank charges deducted, refunds of duplicate payments using Accounts Request Form
Contacting clients for payment, verbally or via email; providing copy invoices or statements where required
Arranging for mail, hand delivery or courier for prompt payment of invoices
Inserting comprehensive comments in Accounts Receivable Collections System (“ARCS”) debtors system for easy follow up
Utilising the ARCS calendar “To do list” and following up on assigned tasks
Handling queries from clients and ensuring timeous rebilling by responsible persons
Refunding over payments
Assisting secretaries and practitioners with accounts queries, providing printouts, copy invoices and the like
Preparing reconciliations on excel if required by internal/external clients
Liaising with practitioners in the event clients wish to make payment arrangements
Informing financial manager of any bad debts, letters of demand, and/or suggested “hand overs”
Obtaining permission from practitioner before attending on legal action taken
Completing vendor forms and supplying BEE requirements if requested by client
Attending monthly meetings with professionals to discuss their books
