A position for a Credit Controller has arisen in a large firm based in Cape Town centre and applications are invited from a self-motivated individual who wishes to join a dynamic team in the asset backed lending industry.

Job Specification;

• Purchase recommendations on invoices
• Understanding of the age analysis and debtors book
• Account reconciliations
• Preparing journals
• Daily processing of banking
• Collection
• Debtors experience
• Various ad hoc credit control duties
• Liaise with clients ( internally and externally )
• Update monthly reports

Minimum Requirements;

• Matric
• Tertiary qualification would be advantageous (Finance /Debt collection/Credit Management).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Credit control experience.
• Retail experience would be advantageous.
• Excel experience essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively within the team and internal & external clients
• Excellent telephone etiquette
• Time management shown in daily activities
• Working independently and follow instructions without close supervision
• Demonstrate ability to meet demands of internal and external stakeholders
• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office package
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Planning and Organising
• Self-management
• Team player
• Positive attitude and drive
• Debt collection experience non negotiable
