Our client, that has become South Africa’s leading manufacturer of stainless steel and mild steel vehicle accessories, currently has an opportunity for a Credit Controller that will report to the Financial Accountant.

The successful incumbent will have a Financial Accounting qualification together with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Must have experience managing a team of debtors and collection clerks.

Position details:
Managing a team of debtors / collection clerks.
Setting and monitoring of collection targets.
Credit risk vetting of new clients and review of current clients.
Customer collections.
Attend to customer service / client queries.
Maintenance and adherence to credit policies and procedures.
Processing of journals.
Management of bad debts.
Financial reporting.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Financial Accounting qualification or currently studying towards it (preference will be given to candidates with a Credit Management qualification).
Minimum 5 years in a similar position.
Must be computer literate with advanced excel experience and appropriate accounting package experience.
Have the ability to work independently as well as in a team in a pressurised environment.
Have the ability to communicate effectively and interact at all levels.
Own transport and valid driver’s license.
