Credit Manager – Finance Department – Hammarsdale

A credit manager position has become available in the Finance Department, based in Hammarsdale, Kwazulu Natal.

This position requires 3-5 years experience in a credit management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, 2-3 years foreign exchange banking experience and 1-2 years cash book experience will be advantageous.

An advanced Certificate in Credit Management accredited by the ICM SA is essential and a Degree in Accounting will be advantageous. This individual must be competent in Microsoft Office including Excel.

Experience with BAAN or a similar ERP package is a prerequisite. Advanced knowledge in financial management principles, credit risk management and credit rating is required along with knowledge of cash book requirements, SARS requirements, CPA and NCA legislation and handling foreign export accounts and INCO terms.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following inter alia:
- Opening and maintaining customer accounts
- Facilitating the local debt collection process
- Facilitating the inter-co debt collection process
- Facilitating the export debt collection process
- Ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial month end reporting
