Our reputable retail client situated in Somerset West is currently looking for an experienced Creditors Clerk to take on a 3 month Fixed Term Contract position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Print all supplier statements
Capture all Creditors and Sundry Payments onto the bank to be released on the last day of the month
Capture all Creditors and Sundry Payments onto the system for last day of the month payment
Print Previous months Bank Statements to recon against System
Keep all Bank recons on file for Auditors
Detailed Reconciliation on Excel of suppliers accounts, working with print out from system and statement from supplier
Liaise with suppliers for invoices, pods, statements, discounts and queries in order to be able to account for what company is paying and is not paying
Ensure smooth running of accounts and that they are paid in correct terms in order for sales to run smoothly
Liaise with goods receiving for all receiving and returns paper work. To insure correct for month end payments.
Check, amend and update details of Suppliers on system, rounding, Journals etc.
Filing of recons with supplier statements, Invoices , pods from all 3 branches, into files and then for archives into boxes
Fill in new credit applications, then trustee to double check and sign off
Arrange Petty cash refill and allocations for Hermanus
Occasionally create various graphs and reports for trustees

Minimum Requirements:

Matric
A relevant tertiary qualification (Advantageous)
3 – 5 years’ prior experience as a Creditors Clerk
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and an Accounting software
The ability to cope well under pressure and meet deadlines
Salary on Offer: R 12 000 – R 14 000 p/m
