A leading company in the Manufacturing sector is seeking a Creditors Manager who is immediately available. Some of the duties of the position will include: Completion of debtors month end; ensure that collections are constant and that outstanding amounts are followed up and queries resolved; bad debt kept to a minimum and FD informed of any potential bad debts; maintain customer credit limits and approve new accounts by obtaining bank reports and trade references where necessary; all debtors accounts to be reconciled on a monthly basis and monthly statements must be reconciled to the age analysis; monthly meetings with FM to discuss problem areas and any other issues that may arise; ensure that monthly reporting and all monthly GL reconciliations have been done; assist with time management – keep OT worked under control; maintain a good working relationship with the relevant role players; keep in constant liaison with other credit controllers; insist on training and development for both self and staff to keep up to date with changes and to improve self-development.
