Job Description:

Supervising and Standing in when Head of Creditors is out of office
Review and update debtor and creditor invoices processed by Creditors Clerks
Review creditor reconciliations
Review debtor’s reconciliation
Process debtor and creditor journals
Reconcile VAT Accounts in general ledger and complete VAT returns on SARS e-filing
Reconcile inter-branch and inter-company loan accounts
Liaise with creditors regarding outstanding issues and reconciliations
Calculate and process monthly charges to stores from Head Office
Reconcile telephone accounts – Charges to stores and deductions from employees
Recalculate and compare royalty and advertising charges from franchisor
Processing of debtors and creditors for Head Office
Review and forward turnover figures for rent payments
Perform other accounting calculations and entries up to trial balance
Be able to function without constant supervision and take initiative in developing and enhancing the systems within the department.

Qualifications:

Have been in a management position for 3 years
Have strong analytical skills
Excel
Pastel
Evolution
Exposure to Pastel Accounting will be to the potential candidate’s advantage
