Our client, a private hospital in the Sunnyside area, Pretoria requires a CTICU Registered Nurse – ICU Trained  (Day Duty & Night Duty)

Cardio-Thoracic ICU Department

Requirements:
Registered with the South African Nursing Council.
Post-basic qualification in Critical Care Nursing Science.
Current ACLS certificate (will be an advantage).
Willingness to work shifts in accordance with the requirements of the unit.
Prior experience in a similar unit will be an advantage.
Competent in the demonstration and assessment of clinical procedures and management of risks.
Basic knowledge of stock control and staffing principles.
The ability to identify alerts, near-misses and adverse events.
Knowledge of the Scientific Nursing Process and the BCA bundles.
A good understanding and application of the nursing scope of practice.
Be able to function as an effective member of the nursing team.
The ability to display sound judgement in problem-solving.
Maintains a customer-focused mindset that acknowledges the value of the customer.
Exhibits full responsibility for own work outputs.
Displays a concern for excellence by following work routines and standards while achieving results.
