Customer Due Diligence “CDD” Administrator / AML Administrator – Finance – Cape Town

Well established company in Cape Town is looking for an Anti Money Laundering Administrator with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role. To take responsibility for the administration of the client take-on process, including obtaining relevant Customer Due Diligence "CDD" documentation.

Salary: Market related (Depending on Experience and Qualification)

Minimum requirements:
• Matric, with Ideally hold or be working towards a relevant AML / Compliance qualification
• Must have at least 2-3 years' experience in a Client Take-on / CDD or other similar AML role or a position which involved undertaking periodic reviews
• Ideally a good working knowledge of AML/CFT principles and an understanding of what they aim to achieve.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Knowledge of funds would be an advantage but not essential

Responsibilities
• Undertaking conflict checks as necessary
• Ensuring relevant documentation has been sent to new clients
• Undertaking searches of relevant databases e.g. companies house and regulators
• Undertaking searches via independent intelligence databases to identify, where relevant, adverse media, sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons status' where identification measures have been undertaken and obtaining any further information as necessary
• Preparing CDD profile forms for review and sign off
• Maintaining a record of all new matters opened
