The successful candidate will ensure that all services is excellently provided, response and follow ups on breakdowns within company KPI’s are met professionally. Will be responsible for maximising service departments customer work by quoting out contract abuse and assisting Service and Contract Managers meet target revenue, margins and expense control levels. Providing solutions for “root cause” of failure.

Job Description

Preparation of quotations for internal work and customers which is provided by the Service, Service Admin, Contract Managers
Preparation of quotations for condition reports given by the Workshop Foreman and Technicians
Follow ups with Service/ Loadtesters and Breakdown Controllers for faults reported by the technicians for load test suppliers that could be abuse or accident damage
Discussing faults reported with the Contracts Manager and preparing quotations to be given to the customer
Attain information from technicians such as correct parts and estimated times to carry out work
Responsible for checking on availability of parts with the relevant departments and discussing long lead times with the Contracts and Parts Managers
Responsible for checking lead times and obtaining quotes with approved engineering suppliers to ensure that correct lead time quotes are prepared
Occasionally ensure all quotes are prepared within the rates stipulated by the Managing Director and ensuring quotes are approved by the relevant Manager and submitted to the Contracts Manager for delivery to the client or to the internal Manager within 24 hours upon request
Follow up on all outstanding purchase orders and maintain a quotation register for all Contract Managers and Workshop Foreman
Assisting to obtain valid customer purchase orders by means of negotiating parts discount, labour rates discounts and sublet discounts
Assist Contracts Managers with managing contract costs and helping to identify all abuse costs or accident damage by finding solutions to minimise customer abuse costs
Follow up quotes to get order numbers
Follow up on clients for non--payment and debtors queries
Assist to collect excess hours
Assist Contract Manager to manage end of contract procedures and to prepare condition reports timeously
Maintain company code of conduct and policies with staff
Maintain risk management policies are adhered to
Update market pricing and competitive information and report any changes and developments in relevant markets to the Management Team

Minimum Requirements

Technical Forklift qualification
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar field
Must have good knowledge of relevant legislation with regard to health and safety, environmental and labour
Must be computer literate in MS office and emailing
Experience with working on deadlines
Must have a valid driver’s license
