Leading South African online retailers of furniture, bedding and decor is seeking a CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES OFFICER to join their team in Gordons Bay. The Customer service and sales officer will be required to provide complete and appropriate information and service to every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

Your job role will be a combination of:
1. Sales representative - who sells the company's goods and services to new and existing customers and
2. Customer service representative - the link between the customer and the business, ensuring customers are satisfied with the product or service, thereby maintaining profitable customer relationships.

• Remain highly motivated and target driven
• Maintain excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills

Responsibilities:
• Recommend, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and
prospective customers
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of customers to meet their needs
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
• Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
• Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
• Track sales and status reports
• Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
• Continuously improve through feedback

Minimum requirements:
• Must have Matric
• Must have experience working in Customer Service and dealing with difficult customers
• At least 5 years sales experience
• Experience working in ecommerce would be an added advantage
• Interpersonal Skills - professional and communicative
• Excellent communication skills – fluent in English, another language would be advantage
• Excellent telephone manner
• Professional customer orientated approach
• Eye for detail
• Eager to learn
• Eager to please
• Good time management skills
• Takes responsibility for work
• Innovative, can think on their feet
• Genuine interest in providing top quality performance

Salary: Negotiable depending on level of experience
