Main Purpose of Role
Grow the companyĆ¢??s market share by securing relationships with clients and in so doing generate company revenues.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Site Surveys: Evaluate customer’s on-site requirements in terms of crane capacity, additional transport, rigging and equipment
- Quotations: Formalise the sales offer by providing customer with a documented quotation specifying pricing in the prescribed format
- Documentation: Ensure that clients submit all relevant documentation required to formalise the trade relationship /credit applications, vendor applications
- Client Relationship Development & Management:
- Source new business opportunities
- Manage existing client base
- Coordinate price and/or discount negotiations as deemed appropriate
- Ensure that client dissatisfactions and complaints are formally addressed and resolved
- Ensure customer’s account is within payment terms
- Engage with customer if account is overdue on payment
- In conjunction with the finance department facilitate the successful conclusion all outstanding payment issues
- Administration:
- Liaise with operations in terms of client requirements and secure booking/s with the submission of prescribed documentation
- Ensure all Hire Agreements are signed and the office order is received
- Ensure that the money is banked before the hire occurs, for all cash clients
- Resolve queries relating to invoices, log sheets and client’s general queries
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Qualification in Sale
- A minimum of 3 years in the same /a similar environment
- Knowledge of the industry
Additional Requirements
- The person must have a drive and passion for new business development
- Cold calling, strong negotiating capabilities
- Most importantly, strong personal drive
