PURPOSE
Grow the company's market share for major and/or minor plant by securing relationships with clients and in so doing generate company revenues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Matric or Equivalent
Sales Certification
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Crane and constructi0on industry knowledge
Sales experience
Adept at professional communication
Marketing fundamentals
Cold calling
Good interpersonal skills
Extensive travel

RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate the customer’s on-site requirements in terms of crane capacity, additional transport, rigging and equipment.
Formalizing the sales offer by providing the customer with a documented quotation specifying pricing in the prescribed format.
Ensure that clients submit all relevant documentation required to formalize the trade relationship i.e. credit applications, vendor applications etc.
Obtain official orders prior to the jobs commencing.
Ensure that all relevant documentation, including hire contract etc. are duly concluded and signed.
Liaise with clients in a professional manner at all times, including social events.
Source new business opportunities.
Manage existing client base including but not limited to following up on quotations forwarded, customer satisfaction, further hire requirements
Coordinate price and/or discount negotiations as deemed appropriate.
Ensure that client dissatisfactions and complaints are formally addressed and resolved.
Ensure customers' accounts are within payment terms.
Engage with customer if account is overdue on payment.
In conjunction with the finance department facilitate the successful conclusion of all outstanding payment issues.
Liaise with Operations in terms of client requirements and secure booking/s with the submission of prescribed documentation.
Generate pro-forma invoices as required
